Our goal in this production was to use storytelling in order to describe what challenges Smoltek’s market faces and how the company’s nano technical solutions can affect the future. We started the project with a workshop in Gothenburg together with several people in Smoltek’s team. A broader team with people who have different roles in the company gives us more perspectives and helps us shape a clear message. Based on the workshop, Storisell presented a manuscript that we together reviewed with the customer. With a big focus on storytelling, the script is structured to create suspense. An example of this is that the company name “Smoltek” is not presented until halfway into the explainer video. This helps us build a description of the problems before presenting the solutions. In this production we chose to use an American voice with west coast dialect. The recording took place in Nevada, USA. All graphics are handwritten according to the company’s graphic profile (font, color scheme and design specs) and optimized to clearly visualize the client’s technical solutions. Also, in order to enhance individual animation effects, we selected sound effects applied to the production. The final result is an explainer video that presents Smoltek complex solutions for a wider audience.
